The idea for this home began in 2016. By autumn 2018 the five-family home was completed. Solar panels on roof, balcony and terraces provide the house with efficient solar energy. The verticle panels on the balconies are orientated for maximum solar collection during winter sunshine hours. This home achieves up to 100% total self-sufficiency. An intelligent energy management system ensures that infrared heating, hot water tank and GREENROCK saltwater battery distribute the energy throughout the house.

Neatly installed in the basement is a clean, quiet and safe GREENROCK saltwater energy storage system. It distributes the excess solar energy to be used during night hours. Even in the event of a grids failure, the supply of electricity is not interrupted. In contrast to conventional batteries, a saltwater battery is neither flammable nor explosive. It is absolutely non-toxic and maintenance-free.
