What it is about:

Linking heat and energy storage solutions in the partner webinar

Together, efficient solutions

Intelligent storage systems and heat generation with solar power turn PV system operators into true self-suppliers. My- PV and BlueSky present efficient solutions to you in a free online seminar. We show how storage and heat technology interact and what opportunities are available for you privately and your company.

Hot water with photovoltaic

Until now, the most common way of producing hot water using solar energy was mostly via solar thermal systems. But these systems are usually relatively complicated and maintenance-intensive. Not so with photovoltaics – nowadays you can use photovoltaics to produce hot water in a very simple and uncomplicated way.

Advantages of water heating by photovoltaic

And this also brings advantages. On the one hand it is Co2 sparing and climate friendly, on the other hand it is very efficient due to the use of solar energy. The whole thing looks even more efficient when combined with an electricity storage system. This means that the heating elements can be operated not only when the sun is shining, but also when they are needed – regardless of the time of day.

Different heating elements depending on the application

my-PV now has a wide range of products with patented technology for a variety of applications. The ELWA heating rod is a 2 kW photovoltaic water heater. Direct current from photovoltaic modules is directly transferred to the built-in heating rod and immediately converted into heat without any losses.

AC ELWA-E is a 0 – 3 kW continuously controlled water heating device for grid-connected photovoltaic systems. It uses surplus PV energy for hot water preparation and thus achieves an optimization of the self-consumption/self-utilization of the system.

Partner webinar my-PV and BlueSky Energy

You will be guided through the webinar by my- PV trainer Reinhard Hofstätter, Markus Gundendorfer from the sales department of my- PV and CEO Thomas Krausse from BlueSky Energy.

Reinhard Hofstätter M.Sc. was in charge of research projects focusing on solar thermal energy at the “Austria Solar Innovation Center” (ASIC) from 2010 to 2016. During this time, he also worked as a lecturer at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences in the Eco-Energy Technology course. Since July 2016 he is trainer & training manager at my-PV.
